Lionel is a company that has been in the market for more than 100 years. They were looking for a fresh look, without loosing the traditional approach of the brand. The goal is to reach a new young audience, and keep the hobbyist fan base they've had for many years.

The new Lionel.com is a place for everyone to explore. The goal is to guide and direct customers to the right sections of the website, based on their age, knowledge, and interest. In the same time the website welcomes, entertains and satisfies all the needs of the different target audiences Lionel had in mind.

MOBILE, OF COURSE.

Since Lionel's goal was to reach a new audience, not only of kids, but also millennial parents, the whole website needed to be mobile friendly. Based on a lot of research and focus groups, we decided not only to make the website mobile friendly, but to build it mobile first. Since Lionel's previous website was not even adaptive on mobile, the increase of users accessing Lionel.com on mobile increased drastically.
